While browsing the various “green” tech sites and catching up on my reading, I came across this item from TreeHugger (courtesy of another site, Mother Nature Network) listing the 10 best cities where graduates might find green-tech or clean-tech jobs.
To no one’s surprise, San Francisco is #1, but it might shock you to hear that automaker-friendly region Detroit and oil-industry haven Houston also make the list. The hybrid and electric car funding are fueling new jobs in Michigan and don’t count out Texas when it comes to renewable energy.
The post includes stats, the focus of the region’s green investment, and information about the policies that are making job creation possible. The other cities that made the list include:
Denver
New York
Portland
Los Angeles
Sacramento
Boston
Phoenix
